What is Capitalise London?
Moving to London was a life-long ambition of mine. When I achieved it in September 2016, I felt a little out of my depth. There’s so much to do, so much to see and so little time. The truth is, everyone I know who lives in London is full of recommendations. Friends are always talking about awesome places I’ve never been to before. This is just part of London’s allure – there’s always something else to do.
I also noticed something entirely unexpected when I moved here. There’s a community. People talk about how soulless and pretentious London is. This hasn’t been my experience at all. I find there’s a collective hunger among Londoners to find the next cool place to go. The problem is, the city’s too big to explore alone.
This is why I’ve created Capitalise London. I want to shine a light on the places to go, the people to see, the hidden talent and where to find the best churros!
I’d love for this blog to become a community of followers/writers who offer their own insights of the capital. Until that happens, I’ll be sharing my own.
From artist to musician, restaurant to startup, this is London… Because the city’s too big to explore alone!
